Pro Tools for Leopard: Ultimate Reason to Upgrade to 10.5?
August 6, 2008 – 12:39 pm by Jonathan GrandAs you might know by now Pro Tools 7.4.2 is out, supporting Mac OS X 10.5.3 and 10.5.4 .
But if you don’t know, and if you purchased 7.4 and Leopard, you can run and download it. It has been running pretty stable, but then again, it wasn’t extensively tested.
Even though it seems to run fine, I still wonder if life would be better with no Leopard update at all. I think I still miss the old stability and efficiency of Tiger. Even after all the combo updates, 10.5.4 still feels slow to me, and it still has instability issues with itself and some software, in a machine where RAM is definitely not an issue.

If only they would fix their audio driver to actually work after coming out of “hibernation”! it worked like a charm under Tiger….

Digidesign hardware and hibernation has never been a nice combination
